Editorial Policy of the Journal Re(senhas)

1. Scope and Focus

The scope of the journal encompasses the publication of academic works in various fields of knowledge, focusing on the dissemination of ideas and dialogue between different linguistic and cultural contexts. The journal encourages the publication of works that promote critical reflection and academic debate in the areas of the humanities in general, ranging from philosophy to literature and social communication. Additionally, the journal also undertakes the publication of conference proceedings in the format of extended abstracts.

2. Objective  
The Re(senhas) journal aims to promote the dissemination of academic knowledge through the publication of translations of chapters, bilingual critical reviews, expanded abstracts, and essays. We focus on recent works, encouraging critical reflection and dialogue between different linguistic and cultural contexts.

3. Types of Manuscripts Accepted  
- Critical Reviews: Reviews of up to 10 pages analyzing works released within the last 5 years (except for justified cases mentioned in the publication's comments), with a critical and reflective perspective.  
- Poetic Reviews: Reviews of up to 10 pages of an artistic work or literary text, mainly using original poetry and/or quotes from other authors in epigraphs, interpreted through the lens of philosophy, literary studies, and the humanities.  
- Expanded Abstracts: Manuscripts of at least 3 pages, structured with an introduction, development, and conclusion. The abstracts should provide a comprehensive view of the discussed topic.  
- Essays: Essays or opinion articles of up to 10 pages that present an in-depth analysis or discussion of a relevant topic, with academic rigor.  
- Experience Reports: Manuscripts of up to 10 pages that describe a didactic-pedagogical experience, using theoretical foundations to support the arguments.  
- Chapter Translations: Translations of academic works whose copyrights have expired.  
- Postprints: Comments on articles or other scientific publications; these will not be published in print format.  

4. Submission Guidelines
- All manuscripts must be accompanied by at least 3 bibliographic references that support the arguments presented.  
- Works must be written in Portuguese and/or English and adhere to the journal's formatting guidelines (preferably ABNT or APA style).  
- Submissions must be made through the journal's submission platform, according to the detailed instructions provided.  

5. Review Process
- Submitted manuscripts will undergo a peer review process to ensure the quality and relevance of the publications.  
- The review process will take up to 90 days after submission.  

6. Ethics and Plagiarism

The Re(senhas) journal strictly adheres to ethical standards in publication. Authors must ensure the originality of their texts and the correct attribution of cited sources.

Works showing evidence of plagiarism will not be accepted for publication.

Authors must guarantee the originality of the texts submitted to the journal, and all references to works of different authorship must be duly explained, indicated with quotation marks (in the case of direct quotations), and referenced in the body of the text.

In the prevention of plagiarism, we encourage reviewers to comment on the originality of submissions and have implemented the use of plagiarism detection software in all submissions.

7. Endogeneity

We understand endogeneity to be defined as the publication of more than 20% of authors from a single institution. In case of excess, generally accepted texts will be directed to future editions. This measure aims to adapt the editorial policy to evaluation standards.

8. Copyright

Authors who publish in this journal agree to the following terms:

Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication, with the work simultaneously licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution License, which allows the sharing of the work with acknowledgment of authorship and initial publication in this journal.

9. Responsibility for Content

None of the organizations or individuals involved in the committee or the editorial and management process of the journal are responsible for the content of the articles. This responsibility rests entirely with the authors of the respective texts.

All authors must have participated in the preparation of the articles so that they can publicly assume responsibility for their content. Qualification as an author must presuppose: a) conception and design or analysis and interpretation of the data, b) writing the article or its critical revision, and c) approval of the version to be published.

10. Open Access Policy

This is an open access journal, meaning that all content is freely available at no cost to the user or their institution. Users are authorized to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without prior permission from the publisher or author.
